Has anyone found something that works for ADD? The doctor says my daughter does

not

have this, but her teacher say that my daughter is " easily distracted " -- she is

very social and

loves her friends. Unfortunately, it has now gotten to the point where she is

not finishing her

work in class. She understands the instructions given, and for the most part,

is capable of

doing the work. However, she is too interested in her friends, and if she does

get to a part

that she doesn't know how to do -- she might just get totally " stuck " and not

move on --

even though she can do the rest of the paper. Any suggestions -- programs,

supplements,

strategies?

She does process a little slowly. She has done The Listening Program and Fast

ForWord and

I'm told is testing " normal " for auditory processing.

I would read (broken record) Feast without Yeast to check for

allrgies, sensitivities and yeast. Is it ADD or AP. I was a similar

kid and I suspect had both. Also, Dr. Bock's book is helpful. In my

house we are all (I am doing it too) Listening Program Responders. In

daughter and I it drums up, well, snot. I suspect that is yeast. Gunk

stuck in your head can definitely distract you. In daughter we are

still working on this. I suspect she is yeastier in the head than her

brother due to ear tubes for him.

If you want to chase the allergy thing I have a good doc for you.

Email me offlist. I think I finally found the right DAN. It only took

9 months. Cheaper than Dr. F. Some insurance coverage and most

importantly, very solid approach.

Have you read the 4 As book? My daughter is technically NT and does

fabulous in school but I wonder about the staright sitting. I am

accommodating that via homeschooling as I had the same issue but I

still want to be sure I properly address any physical underpinning of

this. Gluten, water and dairy removal changed her dramatically.
