Guest guest
Well, I had the uptake scan. Didn't know if it was the right thing to do, but did it anyway. I had already decided against the RAI. Then I decided that it might be the right thing to do. And so on... The doctor at the lab that did the scan talked to me for about an hour and seemed to honestly answer my questions...How can something that is dangerous for my family and pets be good for me? It isn't that it is really good for me, just that it the best of my options. He said it could be hard with medication because I might have times that are worse than others. By the time I had the scan I was have terrible tremmors. My whole body was shaking. I was about ready for anything. My doctor put me on a beta blocker yesterday before he had results of the scan. Today I am much improved. I got a call from my doctor today. He suggested trying PTU. One reason is because of TED. RAI would always be there as another option later on. He is said I would need labs very often. I am really relieved to not have to have the RAI now. I'm just going to try to have an open mind about the whole thing.
