Hi everyone,

My latest labs show that I'm getting more hyper. One month on 50 mg. per day

of PTU seems to have done nothing. Now I'm taking 2 50 mg. tabs per day (one

in the morning, one in the evening) and we'll see what happens. My bone

density test was normal, no bone loss at all. Liver panel and CBC showed all

normal results too.

Oct 2002 (not on medication)

TSH 0.04 (range 0.34-5.00)

FT4 1.4 (range 0.6-1.6)

FT3 437 (range 230-420)

Apr 2003 (not on medication)

TSH 0.01 (range 0.34-5.00)

FT4 1.3 (range 0.6-1.6)

FT3 459 (range 230-420)

May 2003 (on one PTU 50 mg. tab per day)

TSH 0.014 (range 0.34-5.00)

FT4 1.5 (range 0.6-1.6)

FT3 530 (range 230-420)

Looks like I did better without medication! I'll take the two pills a day

for the next month and see where I stand then. This disease sucks, did you

know that :-)
