Guest guest
Hey, Rosie, 's right about the test. It can be very accurate, but not in the way you think. Mercury skews the other metals. Don't be surprised if you get some weird results, high copper and arsenic being pretty common. Try to get the nurse to send you a copy of the results (which you need for the consult anyway), then go to the yahoo group autism-mercury and look under " files " for the " counting rules " to understand how to interpret the test results. If still confused, post the results and the parent experts on the list will explain all. Is Kratzinel your ped? If so, he'll know about the skewed results of these tests and will explain, too. (But that's a long time to wait for an answer, I know.) IMHO, join autism-mercury for the most up-to-date discussions of this issue (with all viewpoints represented, often in a somewhat heated fashion). You will also find the DAN protocol under " files " , which is probably the method Kratzinel will follow. Chelation is an extraordinary experience for us, but the best results, like with gfcf, come from being an informed parent. > I will not be the last to tell you that you wont necessarily see mercury in > the hair test . Guest guest
Can you please give us the exact web address for the yahoo autism site so I can check out this hair analysis? THanks so much! Pam in NY
Guest guest
No, I can't. I found it by going to yahoo groups home and did a search for autism-mercury and up it popped. I think I did that by going to www.groups.yahoo.com and entering the search. If you're feeling experiemtanl, try www.groups.yahoo.com/group/autism- mercury/ but I can't guarantee it! > Can you please give us the exact web address for the yahoo autism site so I > can check out this hair analysis?
