My son (non rss) chewed his shirt too! He did it for about 9 months

and it drove me nuts! His shirts would be wet and even have small

holes in them where he chewed. He outgrew this habit but I thought

he was the only kid that did that!

Hey guys,

Just thought I would chime in while I have some time. Storm is really

bad about chewing on his shirts too! In winter, it is the sleeves on

long sleeve shirts. In summer it is the neck area. It drives me nuts,

I had no idea it could be related to reflux. I have noticed that it

is worse lately, and his doctor just reduced his prevacid to once a

day. (Is is like a passy to a baby!, when their tummy hurts they want

to suck, so it has turned into chewing?)

If anyone finds out why this happens, please let me know! I would

like to try and stop it. He has ruined several shirts. ( he often

blames it on being hungry.)

Blessings,

Carmen, mom to a newly turned 9 year old, Storm
