Guest guest
Since developing Graves' I've had lots of sinus headaches.and other muscle aches. I understand aspirin is bad to take as it affects thryoid levels and ibuprofen is bad because it has the red coloring and hence iodine. The recommendation at Mediboard was to go with acetaminophen because naproxen sodium is high is sodium. However, I'm not sure what the drawback is with sodium per se, and I like being able to use an anti-inflammatory pain killer (like naproxen, and unlike acetaminophen/Tylenol). I like motherwort tincture, a few drops in water. I understand it slows the heart a bit so should be used cautiously for people for whom that's a problem (not me!). It has a relaxing effect on the muscles so is a good light sleep aid, too. Also, I once knew a physical therapist who used massage of the temple pressure points for headaches, with some success. Best wishes, B.
