Hi Jing-

Welcome to this great group!!! Where in the Philippines are you from? My

husband, Chad and I have been twice with our children. We mostly stay in Laguna

and do missions. (But, when we are there we go many places.) One of these

days we may move there! We love the people and the country. I hope you get

all the answers you need here. Please feel free to email me

Hello this is Jing from the Philippines. My son, Jojo 13y/o 57 " and is diagnosed

RSS. I am a member of the Magic Foundation and I was lucky enough to get an

advice from Cara through Magic's egroup for me to be part of your support group

as my query would be answered more in this group since we have the same case.

Anyway, I have something to ask regarding mainstreaming in a regular school.

Right now, my son is in grade 5 mainstreaming. We are going to attend the

wedding of my niece in Chicago on April and since we are there already we are

thinking of attending the convention for next year. But then he will be missing

a lot in school if we stay on till July since school here starts around first

week of June. My sister who lives in Chicago suggested that I let him study

here for a year but since he's in mainstreaming I don't know if that would be

advisable. I would just like to know if any of you out there have a child going

to a regular school with mainstreaming and if so if you could please let me know

their system of teaching and how their peers treat them. I would really

appreciate advice and suggestion from anybody out there.

Thanks and hope to hear from you guys!

Jing (mother of Jojo)
