List serve, what it means to me.

I don't often have much to offer to this list, but I would like to

contribute this.

Since I have returned home from the Convention, I have been thinking

about how my journey began.

It started here on this list serve three years ago as a 'thought'. It

was through this group that I learnt there was a convention in

Chicago. But reality and finances dictated that was too far from

Australia to ever consider attending.

Slowly, something happened. This 'something' happened so gradually,

that I didn't even realise it was happening. Through this list, I had

made a very good friend.

This year, that little 'thought' I had nurtured for years became

reality. I was able to travel to the US, attend the convention, and

have a holiday that dreams are made of.

RSS is to thank for all that.

This list serve is special not only for the information one can learn

from it, but also for the friendships that can develop between

members. It is because of one such friendship that my head is now

full of memories I will never forget.
