Guest guest
Hey Jen, I would definitely bring the regurgitating behavior up with Dr H. I actually think that it could have something to do with reflux. It takes the same type of movement in the esophagus as reflux does. I used to feel the same way as you do now about problems, and that maybe I was seeing things that weren't there, just because it was brought to my attention. What I do now is make a list of criteria for a specific problem, and then see how many of the criteria meets. If it is a significant amount then I bring it up with the appropriate specialist. If not, then I try to let it go. At the feeding therapy seminar at the convention, the therapist that gave the talk stressed that it was important for our kids to take a bite, chew, swallow, and then wash it down with a drink. She says that most therapist don't go this route, but that because our children often have tongues that are connected far back in the mouth, giving them a smaller area to swallow through, that it can help with getting food down, and keeping it there. Hope some of this helps. Hugs for you all! Pat (g-ma to , RSS, 31 months, G-Tube)
