I have 4 year old twins on the GFCF diet. My son has been on it for 1 year,

my daughter for about 2 months. My son has very obvious reactions to phenols

- I'm still trying to figure out what those are! :) He's on a very limited

diet at the moment to try and figure out just what is causing problems. He

also is still not eating solids foods yet, so all this is a baby food

consistency. He has rice, potatoes, spinach, lentils, chicken, lamb,

buckwheat, pears and green beans. His blood work is showing that he's

developing allergies to these slowly since it's all he eats. So tonight I

looked up all the info in the feingold diet and I'm totally confused as to

what the difference is between a salicylate and a phenol is. The info I've

read so far certainly seems like he would fit into this diet as well as GFCF.

Also, I think someone posted something about their child having a phenol

problem and was able to tolerate mangos. Does anyone else have any

experience in this? I'm sure there is a feingold 'group' out there somewhere

like this one, but my husband's the computer nerd of the house and I'm doing

good just to post this! thanks, Donna in Kingwood, Tx
