Guest guest
There is no way to say this pleasantly: If you quit your meds after killing your thyroid with RAI, your body, which now does not have any way to produce thyroid hormone, which is the hormone responsible for regulating the metabolism, will ultimately cease to function. When you go hypo, everything slows down. Brain function, pulse--just take that to the extreme and you have your answer. We can probably add this as the 23rd reason not to have RAI: noncompliance with meds after RAI can and will lead to coma and death.
