Guest guest
Hi all, had his 3 month checkup with Dr H yesterday. He has now been on GH for 9 months. He is now 94 cm(37 inches) and 13.2 kg (29.7 pounds). Dr H was very happy with his weight gain but upped his GH (for the first time since we started) from .35 to .42. She also upped his zantac, cyprohetadine and miralex, but not his prilosec. He is just under the 25th percentile weight for height. I asked if we should start cutting back on his pump (he is partly tube fed) but she said not yet. She is not concerned about his weight for height being (relatively) high since it is all muscle mass on him and not subcutaneous fat. Of course, even though we left our daughter home, she was all over us about Becca's weight. Becca ('s twin) is 40 pounds and 40 inches. I asked if she thought would be off the daytime pump during school hours next year and she was mildly encouraging. This is very important as we try to decide on the correct placement for kindergarten next year. Not needing the pump during the day will make finding the correct placement easier. We go back in February for our annual which means blood work and bone scan. I guess we will be there for an entire day. This time our appointment was for 1 pm and she didn't see us until almost 2:45 pm. We were in the car at 4:15. Dr H was very happy to hear that potty trained right after our last appointment. Also, moved from a self-contained class at school to an integrated class at school which is a large step in the right direction. They needed to move him back an age group (partially so he would not be in the same class with his sister) but it is still a great move. Judith, Steve, (RSS - gtube, fundo, pyloryplasti, zantac, prilosec, periactin, gh) and Becca (non RSS with her own issues) 4 1/2 year old twins

Guest guest
Hi, Before gh, was 86 cm or 33.8 inches and 11.1 kg or approximately 24 1/2 pounds. So, in 9 months he has grown 8 cm and gains 2.2 kg. Also, he has put on muscle mass. When we started gh he was in the 10% percentile weight for height and is now just below the 25% percentile weight for height. Good luck, Judith, Steve, (RSS) and (non RSS) 4 1/2 year old twins

Guest guest
Hi Debbie, Yes, is on periactin and has been for a few years now. No, we have not had a problem with side effects from the appetite stimulant. When we first started, we did it gradually. Now, whenever we increase he may be slightly sleepier (not a bad thing at night) for 2 days, but that is about it. Judith > wow that is amazing growth. Is he on appitite stimulant?
