Cheryl, I have wondered this almost daily myself...even ' book has recipes that call for items like Perky's Nutty Rice cereal that was later announced to be cross contaminated. Then there was the controversy over French Toast Crunch cereal. I posted an email from General Mills saying that none of their cereals were GF and many insisted that it was and their kids were eating it with no ill effects. Then a couple of weeks later, kids were reacting to it. Sigh. I think that you really can't be truly GFCF unless you are making everything from scratch...and I do mean everything. It is disheartening, especially when you haven't seen improvement that can be attributed to the diet.
