Guest guest
Hi Ron, You have lots of sympathy from me on this. I may be doing a little better but I have those gritty eye days about one out of four, today included. I do wear sunglasses outdoors to shield my eyes. And I've had some good relief from eye drops I used to find only at the health food store but now can get at the local chain (Rite Aid) too. Note that I haven't checked out the ingredients for compatibility with our condition, but they have made my eyes feel much better. The brand is called Similasan; it's Swiss. The drops have homeopathic ingredients in them and seem to have little else. There's one for tired eyes and one for allergies; after trying the first I started using the allergy preparation (and pollen here in the Northeast has been bad this year). I've done a lot less since developing Graves' this past year. It's been a tough adjustment (and I wasn't getting out that much before this!). I understand feeling obligated to go on a trip, but avoiding stress is an important thing too. Best wishes, hoo!
