I'd love the see the 'facts' they base the 12-18 month cutoff on

myself. I however have decided that however long it takes, is how

long it'll take where the MMI is concerned. I think instead of

arguing with my dr when that time comes, since I've been on it for

almost 2 yrs...this Dec....that I'm going to present him with the same

question you just asked. Where is the proof that it's dangerous for

long term use. I figure if he can't put up, then he has to shut up.

I don't know where that lit is, but my endo doesn't seem concerned and I've

been on it for about 9 years now. Shelly, if you're taking 7.5 mg./day, I

hope you're splitting it into 3 equal 2.5 mg. doses. If not, try it--you'll

probably find, if you're anything like me, that your levels normalize pretty

quickly and you'll have to drop your dose some. Until I did that, I never

progressed--so I'm a convert.
