I hope you have, too, because there is a foundation for this syndrome. To answer your question as to whether or not your newborn should be tested, I would think you should have this done. The info I read said that it is probably from something obtained from both parents, so it would be wise - especially if it is only a blood test. It looks like you have a long road ahead of you and you will need to educate yourself as much as possible. It's interesting that taking enzymes can be of so much help. Vitamins, too. I do hope that your daughter's case is one of the more mild ones. Please keep us posted on her progress and treatment. While we don't have anyone else on here with SDS, we do have kids with growth and eating issues and perhaps we will be able to help in some way.
