Storm's Endo Appt.

Hi guys,

Well Storm had his appt. yesterday with our endo. (He seems to slowly

be getting more receptive to what Dr. H does! YEAH!!!)

He first said he was happy enough with Storm's growth and that we

really didn't need to up his GH other than to keep up with his

weight. Well, before the appointment was over, he changed his mind

and followed what Dr. H suggested (without saying that was why he

changed his mind!!!) LOL! Anyhow, he agreed without any argument to

do both of Storm's hands for a bone age. He changed how we dose the

gh as Dr. H recommended. He even listened when I mentioned that Dr. H

uses Arimadex rather than Lupron!!! He was very interested! (He

usually shuts me down when I bring up any of the puberty stuff!)

Anyhow,

Storm is doing really well, although his growth dropped to 3 inches

per year this year, from last years 4 inches per year. BUT he is

touching the 5% line for height, for the first time in his life. He

is on the 20% for weight! He has come sooooo far!!!!! Thank you God

for MAGIC and DR. H!!!

Anyhow, so we upped his GH and will continue doing bone ages on both

hands since the right hand is bigger. We will do labs twice a year

now rather than once a year as before to keep check on gh factors and

insulin resistance, etc! It was a very good visit. A very long wait,

but a good visit! Storm was just glad he didn't have to " give blood "

this time!

So here are his stats, at a week from turning 9 years old, he is 48

inches tall and 53 pounds. He hasn't been sick yet this year. (knock

on wood) And he is doing most of his shots himself! (What a better

year for him!) He is liking 3rd grade and counseling is going good!

I feel like we are finally over a hump of sorts. I sure hope so!
