Peanut butter and other nuts are good sources of calories, too. Fats, protein and complex carbs are much better for our kids. We are lucky. Max would, for the most part, rather eat leftover chicken, brisket, hamburger, spaghetti than cookies and candy. I just found Snyders new pretzels that are sandwiched with peanut butter between them. It's a bit harder for us because he is allergic to milk..... If you start to think " out of the box, " you will come up with all sorts of new ideas. Send me a list of the foods likes to eat and I will make suggestions on how to increase the calories. And, by the way, if she is not eating much sugar during the day and you want to give her a can of Pediasure at night, I'm sure it's okay. You just don't want to go overboard.
