Hi fellow listmates,

Since I am always asking, asking, asking on this list...I felt like I

needed to give something back. However, I am extremely green in the

diet....you don't want any input from me on that end. But I do have a

talent for organizing, so I'd like to share with you a GFCF notebook that

I put together that is invaluable to me.

I have a 3 ring binder that is divided into sections (i.e. meats,

vegetables, fruits, breads, milk substitutes, pastas, potatoes, rice,

soups, beans, breakfast, tomato products, flavored drinks, margarine, oils,

cheese substitutes, mixes, condiments, baking ingredients, shampoos, soaps,

laundry detergents, cleaning agents, etc, etc, etc.) These are all tabbed.

(I also have sections at the end on allergies, unacceptable ingredients,

calcium, phenols etc. for items that are of interest to me).

Then I went to the GFCFdiet.com website and printed out the acceptable

foods list. (I had tried to use this as it was, but it was not organized

specifically enough for me to find things quickly and I would go crazy

trying to find out of certain products were okay while I was in the grocery

store). I then cut out every ingredient/product and taped it into the

pertinent section (as explained above). I have even divided up those

sections (for example....in the condiments section....the first page is

" ketchup " , the next page is " mustard " etc.)

I also include items/products that come across the list (I either print &

cut/paste or just handwrite) or products that I have called on with

information about who I talked to.

I can find any product/food item in my notebook in a few seconds. It is so

great to " check on an item " or go grocery shopping with! (Be careful

taking it grocery shopping....I was scatterbrained and lost my last

notebook...eek! So i " m in the process of making a bigger/better one!)

I love my notebook! Was it time consuming (Yes! As if any of us have

extra time on our hands, huh?) But I don't know what I'd do without it!

(It also comes in handy to take to Grandmas or elsewhere to check on

different products they may be offering my little buddy).

I also have a 3 ring binder divided in sections for recipes (I am finding I

have a lot of " sweets " recipes, but not many main dishes!!!!!!)
