Guest guest
Hi Marlene, Hypo does cause joint pain and symptoms similar to that of arthritis. It's also not unusual to experience eye changes after RAI. Even without TED developing, mucin deposits can change the eye's contour. Be sure your FT4 and FT3 are being monitored and you're getting replacement hormone as needed. TSH can still be falsely suppressed and can be misleading. I do agree that the resulting hypoT is likely the problem and hope it improves quickly, Elaine
Guest guest
Hi, I know you must receive thousands of " help " letters, but I hope you can give me some kind of an answer. Since I was diagnosed with Graves in May, had RAI in June, and started meds in September, (Levoxyl 125mcg., and Lotensin 40mg, I also started having Sciatica and low back pain. Turns out I have 3 bulging discs from my L3-L5. I have also been having alot of swelling in my knees. I am on my feet all day, and my knees look like baseballs are sticking out the sides of them by nightfall. Today the doctor said my knees are from some weird thing going on..unrelated to the disc problem, and is sending me to, yet, another doctor for P/T. My whole body is killing me, and I can't help think it is related to Graves. The doctor says no..yet my Endo says the aches and cramps are from going hypo. Basically, do you think the knee thing is too? This is getting almost too much for such a short time. I also got glasses the end of June, and already need a stronger prescription. AND..my blood pressure will not go down, Stays about 170/110 to 180/120. They increased my meds and today added a diuretic. I feel out of control!! I am sorry I am rambling.. Thanks, Marlene
