Guest guest
Olivia never ate much at one sitting but she's always been an eater. The biggest help was finally discovering that she was allergic to dairy and soy. When she was discharged from the hosp. after a 2 month NICU stay she was 3lb 6oz and taking 5-10ml feeds every 2-3 hours. At 6 months old she weighed 5lbs and we discovered the allergies so we switched her formula to a hypo allergenic one and she gained a whopping 7 lbs in 6 months!! That made her 12 pounds on her 1st b-day. Through this great list serve and the convention this year I understand now that the kids seem to grow on calories until around 2 years old and then need GHT to grow since Olivia hasn't done much growing since she was 2. At 2 she weighed 16lbs, now at almost 5 she's 18lbs... We just need about 8 more pounds on her before we start the fight with our health care system to get her on GHT. (8 more pounds will put her in the 3rd %ile for height to weight chart) I would love to see baby pics of !! He is so cute! It was so great to meet you at the convention, I can't believe that it's been and gone already and we have to wait another year to see everyone again! Guest guest
Wow, how great taht you guys found her allergy and where able to switch her. That is amazing that she gained all that weight in such a short period of time. I bet that just made you feel so much better when you figured that out! We are trying to monitor right now too. Dr. H wants to see what he does over the next six months to see if gh is an option at that point. She wants to see what his growth does. She has cut his feeds back, and so now we just wait to see the effects and if he gains any more height. I hope Olivia can gain her 8 pounds kind of quickly! ) Jodi R. > > > > > > I just posted a pic of Olivia and when they were > babies. > > I > > > saved the bunny from 's pics so that I could use it again > > when > > > we had another baby. > > > The picture on the left is Olivia (pink dress) at 8 months old > > and > > > is on the right (green dress) at 2 months old. > > > I've never looked back at her baby pics to look for RSS > > > characteristics (she was diagnosed at 3yrs) but I can see it in > her > > > mouth and big head a bit.
