Guest guest
Hi Elaine and all, 2nd opinion doc did lots of tests. Copper and aluminum 6 hr urine with DMPS were high...(not out of range with 24 hr urine). What does that mean? Also high were homocystine 15.64 (3.7-13.9) DHEA Sulfate 247 (19-205) Testosterone ARUP 71 (4-70) CPR High sensitivity .203 (level 4 relative heart event risk) In range tests: CBC 24 hr creatinine collection TESTosterone Free ARUP Testosterone % Free Sex Hormone Binding Globulin Estradiol (menopause?) 59 (<50) Progesterone Follicular .69 (.2-.9) Blood lead Urine lead 6 hr DMPS urine lead Urine cadnium 6 hr DMPS urine cadnium Copper urine Mercury urine 6 hr DMPS urine mercury aluminum urine 6 hr DMPS urine aluminum Arsnic urine 6 hr DMPS urine arsnic Blood mercury Urine lead thyroid function: TSH 3.52 (.3-5.5) FT4 .91 (.89-1.76) FT3 3.11 (2,3-4.2 Not a very informative follow up with the DO. Lots of test results and a " lecture style delivery " . I only had a few questions....but he side stepped every one of them...according to my husband. I still don't know how he would treat my Graves' Disease. I can't believe he didn't do a TSI!!! He suggested other tests...I should buy his supplements... " Scare tactics " ....heart event...endocrine tumor...bone cancer...intestine problems... liver failure... gal bladder bad...kidney or bladder stones.... My husband's observation was that the DO steam-rolled me. He doesn't trust the doc. My insurance co. notified him this month that the DR will no longer participate with them. I'm going to use a doc that my insurance co will accept. How much impact does PTU and Graves' Disease have on endo system, liver, aluminum and copper? How do I get copper and aluminum inside me? my diet? How can I get them out? Do I want to eliminate it? Or is my system dumping too much...like a body can dump calcium? Thank you again and again!!! Ever hopeful, Alice
