Hi ,

Great question! Our son, , started GHT when he was 3. Our explanations

for GHT have evolved and changed as he has become older. He is now 7 and we

are now able to explain more about how GHT is a chemical that the body uses

to help his bones and muscles. When he was 3 we simply said that the GHT

was important to help him become STRONG, not tall. We talked about his

bones becoming healthier, his muscles becoming healhtier. We talked about

how the shots help his body grow. But, we never actually focused on number

of inches or height. What is wonderful is that as he learns more about the

human body in school and through books we can relate his doctor's visits and

GHT to actual science. Also, he is now more interested in sports. We talk

about how just as athletes need to eat well and drink lots of water in order

to keep themselves active and strong, too must get plenty of food and

water plus the right chemicals to help him be active and strong. We never

ever compare his height with others.

Humatrope makes wonderful pamphlets for kids (and parents)...check it out:

Finally, as parents, we emphasize that every parent has to make decisions

for their kids. One of those decisions is related to the medicines he takes

and doctors he visits.

One thing that is nice about Dr. H's protocol is that she first focuses on

replenishing the nutritional deficit. So it helped that was used to

focusing on nutrition and eating, so that when we introduced the GHT we were

able to say that he had done such a good job with eating well and growing

healthier, that he was ready to help his body with the growth hormone.

lots of praise. Lots of smiles. Plenty of postive einforcement with each

shot. Lots of positive energy. Your daughter will feed off of your

excitement and positive attitude!
