Guest guest
I have recently been told that my son displays symptoms of Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder, Sensory Integration Dysfuction, and Auditory Processing Dysfunction. I had previously been told that he has Asperger's Syndrome and we have been on the GFCF diet since March. Now we are " upgraded " to the above list of disorders. When all is said and done he may or may not fall on the autism spectrum. I guess he is high functioning so it is difficult to diagnose. Anyway, we have about four or five more evals to go through before we will have a final answer. I just wondered if anyone else has used the diet for the above disorders and has any information on any positive results obtained. We had tremendous improvement when removing casein and I am committed to never reintroducing dairy in his diet, however, there was no dramatic change after removing gluten. He does not show any signs of celiac disease. I am considering reintroducing gluten into his diet, however, not wheat, just maybe spelt or oats. We are currently using Allergy Extract Therapy a la Dr. Doris Rapp, the GFCF diet, and Kirkman vitamins including hypoallergenic nu thera, C, Zinc, Pro Bio Gold, and a EFA supplement. What about DMG for attention?? Have not tried it yet. Thanks for your help. Barbara Little (mother of , 5yo, dx????) __________________________________________________
Guest guest
We didn't notice that much reaction when adding gluten back in, but after two weeks, it was back to the same behaviors. It took longer for them to show up.
