Guest guest
I have an ear rubber in my home too-I think hea does it for comfort during things that stimulate him-I think he has learned to do it to prevent bieng over stimulated. He also when learning body parts had to cover his eyes and feel the body part to learn it, it was almost like if he saw it and heard it he could not remember it . when he started closing his eyes and feeling them he remembered the names of the body parts and still does. F OT: Rubbing ear as a stim? > Our son has hypersensitve hearing in his right ear.(We think he does because he will close it with loud noises. )Recently while watching Blues Clues which he LOVES ,when he is responding with the television kids voices he rubs down over his right ear hand over hand with quick motions repetitively while he is speaking or singing the song. Do you think he can't listen and speak at the same time or maybe he has a ear problem which makes the sound louder when he speaks? I need to take him back to the ear Dr. but he never sits still enough for a good exam and then always has red eardrums from screaming and I don't want a antibiotic prescribed. Anyone else experience this? Thanks > > >
