Is it because it's easier to standardize ATDs than hormone replacement? And an endo I heard speak recently explained that doctors prefer synthetic hormone replacement to Armour because of the difficulty in standardizing natural hormones (e.g. what if a particular batch of Armour came from the Happy Hypo Pig Farm?)
