Guest guest
Ok, I can't speak to this from a medical perspective, but I can share my experience. I ALWAYS had nightmares as a kid if my BSLs were too low. Even today as an adult, I don't sleep well at all if my BSLs are on the lower end of the spectrum. I also experience anxiety attacks and generalized anxiety when I'm hypoglycemic. A feeling of general anxiety (for no reason) and sweating are usually the first signs that I'm becoming hypoglycemic. I can remember being a kid and having panic attacks that were instantly cured when I ate something. At the time no one connected the two, because that's not really a symptom of hypoglycemia, but looking back now I really think that those attacks were due to low blood sugar. The only time I ever remember having them was when I was hungry. The same holds true today...the only time I ever have them is when my BSLs are really low. ~Hillary 22, RSS
