Guest guest
I was just going through 's medical records to send to Dr. H when I came across the pediatric GI's report which I reread again and this time I guess paying closer attention. It's a report to the ped about his evaluation and what his plan was but interestingly he states " I do question whether she has some syndromic features. " He then goes on to state that they will perform a a 72 hour fecal fat study and looking into her caloric intake. He then says that " should both of these be reasonable, then we would have to think that is may be a genetic syndrome and genetic consultation may be in order. I certainly would like to be sure this is not syndromic before embarking on any invasive GI evaluation. " Well her test came back normal and guess what no one ever mentioned to me about taking her to a geneticist. Ashely was 17 months old when she saw the GI and she is now 4 3/4. She was 3 3/4 when her cardiologist took action and her seen by a geneticist. UGH-Doctors!!!! I'm sure some things may be a little different had her pediatrician read the report and took action on it or at least informed me what it said and I could have pushed the issue! As always, thanks for listening B 4 3/4 RSS and Kelli 2 Non RSS
