Guest guest
Hi Prue, With your history the scan seems very wise. You said : I have been cancer-free for 10 and a half years now, and am desperately hoping to retain the status quo. The first thought that comes to MY mind is to caution YOU from ever becoming TOO hypo due to treatment. We have a gal at MediBoard that was allowed to become so hypo she almost lost her life. She made it through, BUT now her leukemia is back after 4 1/2 years ( ? )of remission. We all believe that since hypo causes slow or no healing from normal everyday things like a bruise or scratch, this extreme situation she was in is most likely the reason she is back doing the chemo. I worry so about her, as I was in close contact throughout the entire horrid situation, and was the one explaining everything to her Mom as the sound of the ambulance grew closer that fateful night . Never let yourself become hypo ! I will never believe the cancer came back for any other reason. -Pam L - 3 1/2 years Graves', TED, and PTU. Remission due to SLOW reduction of PTU (despite an incompetent endo ! ), improved lifestyle, excellent nutrition, herbs, and looking at the big picture. Pills alone only help the symptoms. We must help our bodies to heal.
