Ho ,

As another person who depends on dexterity to make a living--I'm an editor and

work with pen and paper--I sympathize with the difficulty this must pose a

magician. Of course, you must be glad to finally know this is thyroid related

and not panic attacks because it means you can get the symptoms under control.

My hyperthyroidism included a very shaky hand and high heart rate and blood

pressure. The tremors in my hands came early and made me fear Parkinson's. In

addition being hyper can deplete your body of nutrients, causing muscle wasting

and bone loss (again, know that you know you can start correcting these). I

agree with Fay that a neurological workup is important, but I'm willing to bet

that you're right and it's Graves'/hyperthyroid related, as so many symptoms

are.

A quick warning: now that you know it's Graves'--did they run antibody tests to

be certain?--there are things to avoid, including iodine stimulants, and

cigarette smoke, which can worsen the accompanying eye problems.
