Guest guest
To piggyback on 's post, I use a product called Gebauer's Ethyl Chloride. I have posted about this before, but I like it so much that I will share info again. It is a topical anesthetic skin refrigerant. I got this from 's doctor's office. You probably need a prescription for this, though I am not sure. I was amazed at how well this worked. This is a REALLY COLD liquid that you spray on the area prior to the stick. It burns a teeny bit just for a second, but works instantaneously. You don't have to wait 30 minutes for this to kick in. We went from screaming bloody murder every month with the Lupron shots to not even a flinch. Those of you who have kids on Lupron Depot know how long the needle is & how much it hurts as it is an intramuscular injection. Now takes his Lupron shots with no problems.
