Guest guest
Hi, I'm new here and looking for help and advice from you more experienced folks. Unfortunately, my first post is about my least favorite topic...stools. My 4 year old son (PDD-NOS) has never had problems with loose stools prior to us starting the GFCF diet. He's always been sluggish (only going every 3-5 days) but is not normally constipated or loose. Since starting on this diet (we are about 1 month CF and 2.5 weeks GF) his bowel movements have been very loose, gassy and more frequent. I know that casein is a problem for him due to two seperate incidents of casein ingestion (followed by 3-5 days of tantrums and attention problems), and it is still too early for us to know about the affects of the gluten. Can these loose stools be a sign that he is intolerant to something else such as soy? How do you ever get to the bottom of this? (no pun intended). Thanks in advance, Chris
