Guest guest
Hi Everyone! Well, I got home yesterday evening (I was SOOO looking forward to my stopover in Philadelphia, because my favorite NY pizza place allegedly had a " branch " in the Philly airport. Liars! I wound up eating sucky ol' Sbarro. Ew. <G>) and after a nice nap today, I'm read to start thinking about next year's convention <G>. I already told Joe I'm going...he's already trying to figure out if he's working that weekend next year, to maybe go with me (which surprised the crap out of me, let me tell ya! <G>) I don't think I could list all of the people I enjoyed meeting, simply because there were so many. Don't take it the wrong way, but the 7 adults who were there was a teeny, tiny number in comparison to the dozens and dozens of kids...so it was REALLY hard to keep track of everyone, aside from the handful who I wound up seeing and talking to several times over (and you know who you are <wink>), and the handful of kids I kept playing and taking pictures with over and over (and your parents/grandparents know who your kids are, too <grin>). But I have to tell you that being at the convention was SUCH an eye- opener for me. To have all these cute little kids who looked just like me when I was little was just...great...almost like a family reunion, since we all look more alike than we look like our families <G>. Meeting the other adults was a MAJOR thrill...to be able to see people eye-to-eye (or, even better, OVER some of their heads!!!), to find out that some of the minor inconveniences I've experienced in life were things that they've all experienced too, and now, to be finding out that some medical stuff might be Adult RSS related too (more on that soon, I promise!), well, it was just a TERRIFIC weekend and I am SOOOO there next year! -Sharon- Just an RSS kid who grew up
