I need more info on the relationship between dairy and drooling/other symptoms

Can anyone point me to an article or someone's folder, with an

explanation of the relationship between dairy and apraxic kids? We're

removed dairy from DD's diet, and saw a great decrease in her

drooling. Over the past two weeks, the drool is back, and we're

trying to find out more and figure out why.

Thanks.

Dairy elimination was the only thing that got rid of that drooling and that

'saliva' quality to the voice for us!

Check your labels and look for trace casien. What I have found is this. We can

have some casien some of the time without regression but if we have a little

tiny bit each day, then it slowly acumulates within the system until BAM.... all

of the old stuff comes back.

So, my solution is this. ENZYMES! They are a godsend and I couldn't function

like a regular human being without them. The best enzymes for our children are

made by Huston Neutraceuticals. They are designed to specifically attack and

digest DPP IV products which are the items of gluten and casien. The name of

the product I speak about is Peptzide and I panic if I get to levels that are

low. They are responsible in part for healing Mark's tummy as I am sure that he

has been getting trace casien but the Peptzyde takes care of it.

There is a new enzyme out that I will order next by Huston N. called TriEnza

which also helps with the digestion of phenols as well. As Mark is a

low-sulphate kid, I am 'theoretically' aware that he probably experiences

negative responses to high phenol foods though I cannot really see it. As it

combines Peptzyde with No Fenol.... that will be the next enzyme for our family.

BUT.... it may not be trace casien at all and some other food allergen. It is

not uncommen for our children to have multiple food allergies/intolerences. I

would look to the casien first and possibly try the enzymes since they truely

make life a lot easier for both us and our kids. Enzymes don't allow us the

luxury of ice-cream but we can get away with pizza and cheese without regression

or issues.

I cannot picture life without our little enzymes!

Remember, if your child is regressing, it is always 'something' so keep on

looking. We expect our children to always move forward in development not

backwards.

My son was a faucet on milk. In our case it was likely two things:

1) over fluoridated water. The fluoride stayed inside him and was

pulled out by poorly absorbed calcium in milk.

2) a genuine casein allergy.

If milk reduced this but it remains you have to again look to other

allergens in diet as this may be an allergic response. There are no

studies, it is trial and error. First things first though: any dairy in

supplements?
