At the DAN conference last weekend, Jayne Barese talked about a gfcf

supplement called Phytobears (from a company named Mannatech). They

are shaped like little gummy bears, contain the extracts of 12

vegetables and fruits, and are supposed to improve " cell to cell

communication " . I ordered them on the internet and they arrived

today.

Has anyone else used these? They are tiny (like the regular gummy

bears), but the box says to give children age 6-12 one per day, and

ages 12-Adult two per day. There are no directions for kids under

6. The ingredients are:

Phyt-Aloe complex- 40 mg of broccoi, brussels sprouts, cabbage,

carrot, cauliflower, garlic, kale, onion, tomato, turnip, papaya and

pinapple.

Ambratose complex- 4 mg of naturally occurring plant polysaccharides

including freeze-dried aloe vera extract

Corn syrup, sucrose, water, gelatin, citric acid, grape juice

concentrate, natural flavors, natural colors, olive oil and beeswax.

Can just one of these a day do any good? Would there be any harm in

giving Brett 4-5 of these after a meal as dessert? (I ate one

myself, and they are GOOD!) I'm confused as to why the recommended

use is so low. Brett would probably eat the whole box if I'd let

him, but a box of 70 was $16.95!

I'll try to contact the manufacturer too, but since it appears to be

an MLM-type distribution system, I thought I'd ask ya'll first for

some unbiased info...

Thanks so much!

Sue
