One of my endo's partners saw me shortly after my diagnosis. She told me she'd

had RAI for her Graves' and that as soon as I " got my thinking straight " I'd

make the same choice. (I didn't know enough to ask her about TED at the time.)

My young GP also insists that destroying the thyroid is the " standard of care "

for Graves' but agreed I couldn't take the same approach with my eyes! But it

does seem like many docs truly have been taught to believe in RAI.
