How do you know if it all came out?? I know Marcy said she lost some the

It doesn't " all come out " ...because the mucus plug isn't a " thing " like a

cork...it's actually just mucus. Same thing that you get in your nose

when you have a cold.

And just like you can blow your nose and hours later have a stuffy nose

again...same thing with the mucus plug. You can lose some/all of

it...and it can rebuild. Your body is always making mucus...it's just that

the hormonal balance in pregnancy is such that it makes your normal

cervical mucus very thick so that when your cervix begins to change you

might notice the loss of some of that thick mucus - either as a big thing,

or pieces of thick discharge...

but that's not an " all of it " because your body will continue producing

mucus...even throughout labor you lose mucus...

Since I haven't lost mine yet this time I'm not sure how its going to

be, but when I lost mine with my son there was no " slime " involved. I

went potty and after peeing heard a plop, I looked into the potty and

there was a thumb tip sized blob of goo tinged with blood. I wiped

and had some spotty looking blood on the tissue, but that was it.

Like everything else, its probably really individual, but as close as

you are to your delivery date I wouldn't be surprised if you're on

the verge of going into labor.

Counting down the days (5 more for me) with you,

Robin,

The day before I delivered Blake, I sat down to pee and then I heard a

*plop*. Upon looking into the commode for the *plop* I noticed a blob

of yellowish-blood-tinged blob (lol) about the size of an OB tampon.

It looked like a squishy OB tampon. lol

That's all I lost. Nothing til then, nothing after then. Of course, I

delivered 24 hours later through my abdomen, so the *plug-blob-thingy*

meant nothing to me. lol
