Hi all,

My little girl is 6.5 weeks old. I was having the normal postpartum

bleeding up until about 5 days ago. Now, it's much, much heavier. So

heavy in fact, that I end up bleeding out onto my pants everday!

(Sorry if that's TMI) Anyway, we are in the process of moving and I

have been doing a lot of lifting. I didn't think it was too soon,

but now I am worried. Could this just be my period?? It's much

heavier than my period was pre pregnancy. Or do you think I should

call my OB?? I am worried that I have cause some kind of damage

that will cause problems for future pregnancies.

Any input is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I would call your OB to be safe. I do not rememerb bleeding that hard that

long after giving birth to my others. Better to be checked.

I would call your doc and just tell the situation and find out what

he thinks. Better safe than sorry. I was once bleeding so badly that

I thought I would have to go to the hospital (filling a maxi in 30

min.) My doc told me to take 5 ibuprofin and rest and if it didnt

slow down to go to the ER(it was a weekend of course)Appearently

ibuprofin will slow down a period or even make ti be delayed or stop

for some people. Of course you can't do this if you are breast

feeding but I thought I would mention it in case you were not. - Diane
