Guest guest
Good Luck with the everything. I hope those levels go up and stay up, I had to sue the suppositories too. I have never tried it in pill form but my guess is they are not as good after bypass either. Guest guest
Hi ya'll, OK.....I am currently 8 wks. 5 days preggo. All is well. We have seen the baby and the heartbeat twice now.....however, my progesterone level was taken last week and it was down to 13. The previous week it was 19. They had started me on progesterone suppositories when they first found out I was preg. My levels then were 11. After doing the supp. for a week, the levels went up to 19. Then then told me to stop the supp and just take the progesterone pills.....so I did......well.....they must not work as well cuz my levels dropped to 13....so now they say to start the suppos again....ggeez......so I have....now I go in tomorrow for lab work for progest levels again.....I have read that the suppos. are the BEST way to take progest.....and then the injections next and then the pills are least effective......plus with us being bypass patients.....I would doubt the pills would even be absorbed at all....anyone know about this? Anyway, I am back using the suppos twice a day...morning and night....icckk....I hate them but hey....I will use them if it protects my little angel......so.....I'm hanging in there.....should have results from my progest levels tomorrow.....wish me luck....... Guest guest
I used the pill form during 2 pregnancies since RNY surgery. I did just fine. I have also heard that suppositories are better, but pills also work. maybe it depends on your system. Good luck with the results of the blood work tomorrow. Guest guest
I stayed on the progesterone gel constantly until my 14th week.. My doc was concerned about doing the pills because I had the WLS.. and with the gel, there was no way it couldn't be malabsorbed.. Here's hoping the suppositories do the trick!!! Let us know!
