Hey everyone...I tried looking through the FAQ, but could not find answers I

was looking for...so I am hoping for your help...

First a little info...last time I posted was last year when I was pregnant with

my

3rd baby, first after WLS. I got pregnant 3 months post op. Everything went

great..it was the best pregnancy yet. My nutrition levels stayed normal until

the

last couple weeks I developed slight anemia, so the baby was born with a

little low iron, but he was healthy and so was I. I even loss close to 100lbs

through out pregnant.

Not being careful enough Dh and I got pregnant 3 months after our son was

born, so I am now about 20 months Post Op and 25 weeks pregnant with

baby number 4.

This time I am having a hard time keeping my levels up. First I was suffering

only low B-12 and Magnezium. I have been taking more frequent B-12 shots

and three times a day magnezium....

My last appoinment 4 weeks ago showed my hemoglobin was now below

normal, but not dramatically. Today they checked and it really dropped low,

So i have started extra Iron pills....

I find it interesting that I am eating more and eating better then last year,

but I

am having more problems now. So I am looking for others who have had

similar complications with nutrition levels and how things turned out.

My concern is if I can not get my levels normal how the outcome will be. This

will be my 4th c-section and I am of course concerned for the risk of

hemoraging as well....

can anyone inlighten me on any information?

Thanks

Meghan

dear meghan, while i can't help you from experience, i can tell you from

listening to the medical field, that the complications may not be stemming from

what you are doing right now. baby on top of baby, wether with GB or perfectly

normal, is hard on the body. you didn't have much time to replenish your body

after your son, and so now it's cathcing up with you. i can't tell you what to

do, except take your supplements, try to eat well, eat small and often and drink

lots of water, and i'll keep you in my prayers. keep us posted on your progress

and pregnancy, as i am in your same boat (2 months post op and got pregnant and

WANT to get pregnant soon after this one is born). good luck!
