Hi All,

I have been lurking here for a few weeks - and have only written once

when I was having horrible itching (which spontaneously went away!)I

have learned so much from reading all the posts - thanks!

As a background I had DS in April 2001 and lost about 140 lb. Never

had a single compilcation except for ongoing gas. I had a tummy tuck

and breast lift in Feb 2003 and that went well too (I am very

lucky!). I am now 27 weeks pregnant with a due date of 11/7/04. I

have only gained about 10 lb. in total and am barely showing! I have

generaly had a pretty easy pregnancy and a wonderful OB. However, the

last few days have been a nightmare. I started out by getting the

shakes and a mild fever (100 and under) and have been going on and

off between shivering and burning up for a couple of days. My body

feels like somone beat me up - I am so very sore. I have also had

extremely watery stool and go to the bathroom at least once an hour

(including all night long). I have lost about 2 pounds! I have been

taking Tylenol for the fever and it works well but lasts exactly four

hours. I contacted my OB and she became anxious and said that she

didnt want to tell me what to do because I had a gastric bypass and

she was not familiar with the side effects related to pregnany - and

sent me to my primary doc (who knows even less). I feel a bit better

today and think Iwill wait until MOnday to make an appointment with

my primary - since I really dont think she will be able to help.

My question is: has anyone else had these symptoms? is it related to

my DS surgery or is it a pregnancy complication OR is it just a flu

or food poisoning (my husband also had some stomach upset the first

day I did - so it could be from food...)

Sorry about the long post - but I find that all of you appear to be

more knowledgeable than my OB about these issues!

Thanks!

Hagit

I ma not a doctor but my guess is you have a stomach bug. i do not think any

of this is pregnancy or Gb related at all. I hope you feel better soon.
