Guest guest
Morning everyone! Today is a new day and thank the Lord for that. Yesterday was an all around crappy day for me. It started out with having to go to a diabetic evaluation where they decided to be safe and have me check my blood sugars four times a day. I had previous symptoms of PCOS and diabetes, but was never diagnosed with anything. Because of this they want to be on the safe side. I tried to convince them that everything was related to being overweight and that everything is fine now, but no one listens to me. I was ok with that ( whatever is best for me baby!) until I found out that my insurance company does not cover the testing strips and they are way more than I can afford. I bought em anyway (had to have em) and b*#@^ed all the way home from the store. Ok that was over and done with and and I were finishing watching a movie and he decides that he is hungry for Dairy Queen, so I decide to go with him and watch him slowly have a heart attack from it. I went to go to the bathroom before we left and there was blood when I wiped. I tried to stay calm but that was not happening. I called the on call nurse and she suggested that I go to the ER just to be on the safe side. Know what they found after four hours of being there...? NOTHING! Everything was perfectly normal! They ran test and did an u/s and the baby was bouncin' around havin a good ol time in there. They could not give me a reason why and that is still bothering my today. How can you be bleeding and nothing have caused it? I'm confused. Anyway, sorry this is long and thanks for letting me vent, I appreciate it. Hope everyone has a great weekend! ~e in SD

Guest guest
Hi there e, I am new to the board so I am sorry I don't know how far along you are into your pregnancy. A very close friend of mine had A LOT of bright red blood early on in her pregnancy because she had placenta previa. I found out that placenta previa is when the placenta attaches on top of the cervix. For her it meant that she was on bed rest for the last couple months of her pregnancy, but her son was just fine. I think she had a c-section too, but I'm not sure if it was because of the PP or not. I know 3 different times very early in her pregnancy she was told she was having a mc and she should just go home and relax and let nature take it's course. I don't want to freak you out, but it might be a reason for why there was bleeding. My sister also had her placenta attach in the back of her uterus and she had a completely normal pregnancy and delivery. It had to be comforting to know that your little one was swimmin around fine. That would have been my biggest concern! Good luck with everything. I sure hope you get some questions answered by the professionals! Jeanette Lap RNY 5-9-03 264/145/135??
