Guest guest
i PEE EVERTIME AFTER TOO AND I JUST HAD A NEW BABY. THIS IS MY 5TH PREGNANCY SO I WOULD HAVE TO SAY IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT AT ALL. GOOD LUCK TTC AND TRY TO RELAX AND LET NATURE TAKE IT'S COURSE. IT IS VERY STRESSFUL WHEN YOU ARE TRYING TO BECOME PREGNANT, I KNOW, I TRIED FOR 8 YEARRS WITH INFERTILTY TREATMENTS AND DROVE MYSELF NUTS WHEN THEY DID NOT WORK, MY PREGNANCIES WERE AFTER I QUIT TRYING AND RELAXED A LITTLE. I would say .. go pee quickly and then assume the " stand on your head " position!! Good luck. Okay.. there is one other thing.. on the days your are trying to get preggo.. dh can just 'do his thing' and you can get yours later.... Just let him make his 'deposit'.. I know.. so romantic.. Guest guest
I have a question. I always have to pee after I have an orgasm. I pee prior to having sex, but still end up having to pee, no matter what. The problem is, I am trying to get pregnant and I'm worried that peeing afterward will negate that. I cannot hold it in, it's urgent pee, but I am scared I won't get pregnant if I keep having to do this. Any advice???
Guest guest
Since I don't know your educational background, I will try to explain this in terms anyone can understand, I just dont want you to think I am talking down to you or anything. If you are fertile and have no fertility issues, pee all you want, before or after sex. lol You pee out of a different hole than where your partner's spermies went into, so by peeing, you aren't washing them away or preventing yourself from getting pregnant by peeing. The *idea* behind NOT getting up right after sex to pee, is that with you remaining lying/hips elevated etc, is that you are giving the sperm a boost toward your ovaries/tubes where your egg is/will be soon. With that being said, in the 9 months that I was TTC, I stayed in bed, hips up on pillows and didn't get up to pee for 30-45 minutes, I ended up with 4 urinary tract infections. I suggest you drink lots of cranberry juice while TTC to help with this problem. If you are just beginning TTC, I suggest you buying your own copy of Toni Weschler's book, " Taking Charge of Your Fertility " . You can also borrow it, but it was my TTC Bible and I wouldn't have wanted to give it back.
Guest guest
nothing like having a timeline to get pregnant to increase your stress level! lol (all laughing aside, I was exactly where you are now once and it's no *lol'ing* matter!) You'll love that book. It was sooooooooooo educational and informational for me and I thought I knew alot about " how to get pregnant " BEFORE I read her book (I'm a L & D RN). Her book explains things on a natural level, what is supposed to happen in our bodies and how we can tell if it is or if it isn't happening the way God intended. Are your period cycles always 28 days apart or do you have irregular cycles? I bought a fertility monitor then realized that since my period is every 28 days like clockwork, and we were having sex every day from days 10-18 of my cycle, the fertility mnitor wouldn't help me at all to tell me when to have sex, b/c we were already having sex those days. lol Some OB's suggest having sex just every other day, but since my hubby's semen analysis came back with extremely high concentration of sperm, he told us we could have sex every day. My hubby didn't complain the first few months, then he said he felt *used* (LOL)- like he cared, right? lol take a look at the picture on my profile. After reading and doing nearly anything and everything to get pg, this was the product of our conception!! I'm biased, but he's mighty purty to us! lol Best wishes TTC!!! Guest guest
I LOVE this board. I am rather new here and just love the frankness and honesty of all questions and answers. You gals are awesome! I have heard 2 things about orgasms and TTC. One is that the " O " creates a vacuum type suction helping the little swimmers get to where they are going. The other thing I heard is that the " O " pushes the swimmers back out of play. Anyone else have support for either of these theories?? To get COMPLETELY personal, if I have to pee after the deposit is made I will put a towel between my legs (it's gotta be like a hand towel, not a beach towel =) to keep them guys where they are supposed to be. Then I move it outta the " stream " when I releive myself, and go jump back in headstand position as soon as I'm done. I don't know if it helps or not, but it makes me feel like I am not losing any of the soldiers. Gotta love THAT response, tehee! Jeanette in IL Lap RNY 5-9-03 264/145/135?? Guest guest
i dont know if u are sabotaging your attempts to get pregnant but it does help to lay still for about 20 minutes after intercourse with ur bottom slightly elevated..im sure many people though have to go after wards im one of them but if u can just try to lay there during your fertile days and if u cannot i wouldnt stress so much those little fishies can swim up stream too..good luck > I have a question.
