Guest guest
My mom called me this afternoon a little worried about a news story she'd just read. It seems a woman had the gastric bypass, got pregnant and lost her life and the baby's life at 8 months pregnant. I read the story and it appears to be a hernia complication. Now just last week I asked my doc whether a fairly localized bulge could be a hernia and she palpated me and said unlikely but have the surgeon's group check it out. I urge folks to read this article and if you start having abdominal pains unlike your other pregnancy pains please call your doc asap. http://tinyurl.com/48vhc one of my fears is that I wouldn't be able to tell gall bladder pain from OPMS pain from labor pain etc. I suppose it is better to be safe than sorry. I am sorry if this article worries folks but I thought it worth mentioning. Colleen
