Guest guest
As a person who is considering this surgery and had also talked to and spent time with this woman at Obesity support groups, I have been terribly nervous about now going forward with my decision to have it. But as I learned who this woman was, I began to realize that this simply had more to do with her current weight, pregnancy, and her comorbities moreso than her having the surgery. DO NOT panic for every little pain you get. This is going to turn into a circus of women complaining of abdominal pain. You should be aware of your body and the after effects of surgery, but not peranoid. When I met her, she weighed 515, at about 6 months out. It is obviously MORE likley for this type of tragedy to occur in someone who is that big to begin with. I know, in my state (MA) this is the first of its kind, and compared to the other few I have heard, all have weighed atleast 400 plus. And of the ones I heard 4 in all two were men. So this type of complication has a multitude of " could be " causes.
