Guest guest
Thankfully Hannah is over her fever from her shots and back to her ole self, but last night as we were getting ready to go to bed we go downstairs in the basement and find it completely flooded!!! Our basement is finished and this is where our " master bedroom " is and it is also where Hannah sleeps though she has her bedroom upstairs too. Of course when we discover this Hannah decides she wants to eat NOW so she is screaming her head off and I'm standing in a couple of inches of water. Its 9 at night and I'm sending Glenn to any store to find a shop vac to suck up all this water and I feed Hannah so she can go to sleep. I'm glad she is a good sleeper and noise doesn't wake her up because while she slept in the middle of our bed Glenn and I threw stuff away and sucked up water till after midnight. We are exhausted today and unfortunately had to cancel our appointment for our first family portraits, we are just too tired to make it. We have to spend the day today finishing sucking up water and throwing stuff away, plus moving upstairs now. Our fun relaxing weekend is ruined. Guest guest
Ugh, misery, sorry about that. Was it from a busted pipe? I'm clueless when it comes to basements, south Floridians don't have 'em. Guest guest
WlsMomma, I think there is a crack in the wall somewhere and water came in when I was watering my flowers outside. I'm clueless as well as I grew up in Arizona and they don't have basements there either! ARG! I hate Minnesota! Axelrod Re: Ugh! It never ends!!! Ugh, misery, sorry about that. Are you in a Flood Zone? I know if houses are in a Flood Zone they can't get Flood insurance... Personally.. I would consider the basement fiasco an " act of God " ... if your policy covers " acts of God " .. perhaps you can argue that point??? My Car insurance had an " Act of God " clause... it was STate Farm.. always looking for a way out NOT to pay something.. *************************************************** K in Ft Lauderdale Noah - 10/14/02 - 31 weeker Jonah - edd 11/18/04 ( currently High Risk Pg.. not WLS related) Open RNY - 12/02/03 262/200/someday maybe in the 120's??
