Guest guest
Hi all, I am 10 mos. post WLS and 11 weeks pregnant. I went to the ER a couple days ago with severe upper abdominal cramping that I thought at first was really bad gas, until it wouldn't go away after about 6 hours of constant pain. The doctors did an ultrasound on my gallbladder and found everything OK there. I am still having some stomach cramping and feeling constipated. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, what did you do for relief? Thanks!
Guest guest
I get that way in the morning...until I get to go to the bathroom. It is a VERY uncomfy feeling. I notice that since I have increased my carb consumption.. it is WORSE. A lot of what I eat doesn't really get digested.. and that makes the whole morning process a pain in the butt ( no pun intended ) I know I should really lay off the crackers and stuff... but the only protein that doesn't make me gag is cheese and peanut butter and steak... and steak gets a bit stuck sometimes. *************************************************** K in Ft Lauderdale Noah - 10/14/02 - 31 weeker Jonah - edd 11/18/04 ( currently High Risk Pg.. not WLS related) Open RNY - 12/02/03 262/200/someday maybe in the 120's?? Guest guest
Hi I've had pain in my upper right abdomen as well and the doc has pretty much suggested that it's old scar tissue being stretched. The weird thing is that if I take a couple of gulps of mylanta the pain subsides. So it could be gas. And since everything is being squished by the growing uterus it's not uncommon. Guest guest
Thanks all for your information! I tried 100mg of Colace which is both safe post WLS and during pregnancy and that has helped with the cramping and constipation feelings! Thanks!!
