Guest guest
and Adam - Thanks for your responses. At our 3 week appointment, Emma hadn't gotten back to her birth weight. My doctor said he wants them back to birth weight by their 2-week check-up. After supplementing with a couple oz. of formula after each feeding, I realized she was being satisfied. Thinking back, I could see that she was still hungry after feeding (crying that I couldn't satisfy until she finally cried herself to sleep). She seems more satisfied to me now. Now I can't get her to take the breast. I had never heard those statistics about obesity and formula-fed babies. ************************************************* Subject: Re: Semi update How much you can pump has nothing to do with how much milk the baby can get... I had to supplement with formula because Emma wasn't gaining enough weight. Just curious.
