inflammatory words in an attempt to persuade anyone else to make a

decision that isn't their own. I want us to be able to freely discuss

hot-button topics on this forum, but I don't want things to

Kris,

I didn't see this message when I posted about the rules, so I am

sorry I didn't know you had already covered it. When I went back to

find your post, I couldn't, but found it attached to a post from

another member.

Strange?

:)

Sheila

In any case, the OSSG rules were posted yest am @ 8:55am-

Welcome to OSSG-pregnant!!!

--Consider carefully what you write and how someone might feel reading

it. Remember that sensitive feelings run pretty raw here because of

pregnancy and ovulation and such... so if you're feeling irritated or

upset by someone else's post and you fire off a retort, kindly

consider deleting it and ignoring the offense. If you feel you simply

MUST respond to the offender, take it off-list please, or take it up

with the moderators privately:

--We want this to be a safe place where we can discuss even the most

controversial or sensitive things about pregnancy and motherhood

(i.e., circumcision, breastfeeding, c-sections vs. VBAC, birth

control, etc.). When a topic of controversy arises, feel free to

express *your own experience or opinion*. Do NOT feel free to belittle

the experience or opinion of someone else.

Failure to abide by the above terms may result in your removal from

the list, with or without notice. We currently have the list set to

moderate posts from newcomers, so if you post to the list and it

doesn't immediately appear in your Inbox, don't panic -- we will get

to you as quickly as we can. There are currently three moderators on

the team.

The other reason we moderate only newcomers' posts is so that the

newcomer has a

chance to clearly understand the rules of engagement here. Sometimes

someone

will join and start right in with catty or harassing posts, having

ignored the

List Rules and Welcome Message. This gives us a chance to correct the

offender

before anything gets posted and anyone's feelings get hurt needlessly.

Like I

said at the beginning, we want you to feel *safe* here!

No-one else may use this forum to either berate you for your choice or

attempt to discourage you from your choice. We want to encourage an

open and honest environment, but we don't want to encourage harassment

of any kind.
