Update on me nd Emerson :)

What a boy I have, all he does is eat, eat and eat. He went for his checkup

friday and had gained 1 pounds even in the week he had been home. Sleep- not

good, he was sleeping 3-4 hours a shot at night but has decied he likes to have

a bottle evey 2-3 now. I am ssooo tired my eyes burn in my head. Pup has been

busy working the shop and trying to get some things done for the new shop so

he cannot help me much, he did take the boys with him today while he wired up

his sign for the new shop so that is some help there but I still have madison

home with me and the baby and Mr Emerson will NOT let me nap at all, the little

stinker. He had Enafamil lipil formula in the hospital and had no problem

going to the bathroom but WIC here gives us the regualr enfamil with iron and

now

he does not poop well so the doc had me add Karo syrup as needed to his

bottle, he can have up to 3 teaspoons a day, 1 in each bottle thruout. I try not

to

give him any more than needed and so far only has had it about 4-5 times

total for the week, It really does help to make him go though. Right now he is

sleeping soundly in the crook of my left arm. I had just tried to nap and even

took him to bed with me and he screamed bloody murder until I got up and bounced

and jiggled him and bit. My kids love the new baby though and want to help

me by putting his binky in his mouth for me or hold him or get me a bottle for

him. They have been eally good about that and do not seem jealous or anything

which is good, i was worried about that but I have been trying to remember to

keep them involved and let them know he is their baby too. My boys think we

should have more and I told them we could not cause I had my tubes tied. My

daughter wanted to see where i had my BOOBS tied, LOL...well gotta go, he is

getting mad again.

Sounds like Emerson is a lot of fun. I can't wait till mine is hear, not till

Feb thought. I also get WIC here in Illinois and if you have a problem with

the formula they will let your doc fill out this form saying the baby NEEDS a

certain formula and then they will give it to you because they can't say no to

the doc. Also if he wants a bottle every 2-3 hours maybe you show try upping

the formula. My son at 4 weeks old was taking 6 oz. Just a thought. Good

luck trying to get those naps in.
